It manually switches an electrical circuit between different sources or modes. Think of it like a manual gear selector for electricity. - Reading the markings:
– 1 – 0 – 2 on front: These are the 3 positions you can turn the knob to
– 1: Source 1 ON, like WAPDA/KE supply
– 0: Everything OFF, neutral/isolate position
– 2: Source 2 ON, like Generator or UPS supply
– Ue=230V: Rated for 230V single-phase voltage
– 50/60Hz: Works on both 50Hz and 60Hz frequency
– AC23: Utilization category. Means it can switch motor loads and heavy inductive loads safely - Where it’s used:
1. Generator changeover: Switch house load between KE and generator
2. Motor control: Forward-Off-Reverse for small motors
3. Voltmeter/Ammeter selector: To check voltage/current of L1, L2, L3 using one meter
